Just reached the lab.
My laptop's safe and sound and is working fine - even after
being left switched on continuously for the past 48 hours.
Luckily my lab's air-conditioned, and the screen was set to go
black after a while..... otherwise, I may have run the risk of
frying its internals from overheating.
